Washington Street Art Center Performance

A screening of recent 16 mm films with live improvised sound accompaniment provided by Endguys (Matt Samolis and Steve Norton) will be part of the series, Music at Washington Street, at the Washington Street Art Center.  Saturday, June 28.  321D Washington Street, Somerville, Massachusetts.  Door opens at 8:00 PM. 

The program also includes improvisational performances by Duck That, Kevin Frenette & Ryan McGuire, and free jazz by Paul Flaherty & Randall Colbourne.

Substituting for Susanna Bolle's Rare Frequency program on WZBC, Thursday May 22, from 7 to 10 PM.  The show will be archived for two weeks following the broadcast.

Photographic Practices at Atlantic Works Gallery

A mixed media piece of mine is included in the exhibition, Photographic Practices, a group show of lens-based artworks at Atlantic Works Gallery in East Boston.  The piece is a by-product of my 16 mm film "Selves" and was included by my friend, Richard Dorff, a member of Atlantic Works.

Home Grown Shorts

A video transfer of my 16 mm found footage film "Raptors" will be screened at the second Home Grown Shorts video festival April 26 at the Center @ Castle Square in Boston's South End.  The soundtrack is from a live performance by Duck That.

Athens International Film and Video Festival

Both "Cryptogram" and "Foreign War" will be screened as part of the Athens International Film and Video Festival, Athens, Ohio, running from April 11-17, 2014.

Cryptogram includes improvised sound by composer and experimental saxophonist, Jorrit Dijkstra, recorded live during a presentation of the film as part of Balagan Film’s Outdoor Music + Film program, adapted for this edited version of the film.  

Foreign War includes a recording of an improvisation by Flunk, a Flandrew Fleisenberg / Lou Bunk duo.
